Internet Vs World Wide Web

For quite sometime I couldn’t make a clearly distinction between the two concepts-Internet and World Wide Web, popularly used in today’s world of information and communication. The two were more or less the same.  Thanks to internet training for editors, I came to understand that while Internet is a collection of interconnected physical infrastructure of computer networks,  the World Wide Web[WWW]is the collection on interconnected content accessed through internet. I believe that  good number of people use the two concepts  interchangeably probably because they are closely interrelated in the sense that internet acts as a bridge through which most of us can access WWW contents.
